We are honored to be hosting Dr. Jon Huntzinger at our fellowship and worship times! We hope that you will be blessed by his grace, intellect, and his exceptional understanding and communication of God’s word. He is a founding faculty member of The King’s University, established in 1997, and is a Distinguished Professor of Bible and Ministry at TKU. He currently teaches Life of Jesus and Biblical Hermeneutics and other Bible-related classes. In addition, he has written a commentary on the Gospel of John with Thomas Nelson and two books with Gateway Press: Biblical study on the symbolism of Mt. Sinai called Sinai in the Sanctuary, and a Christmas devotional called A New Color for Christmas. He also has a self-published book entitled “The Trees Will Clap Their Hands,” which traces the imagery of the garden of Eden throughout scripture. On a personal note, Dr. Huntzinger has been married to his wife Penney for 37 years and is blessed with a grown son, daughter, and son-in-law (one in Los Angeles and one in Austin). He was raised in a military chaplain’s family and moved around extensively during his school-aged years, and he loves Abraham Lincoln and has a fascination with the color orange.
