OUR VISION
THY KINGDOM COME, THY WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN
Our vision is God's glory, the transformation of Fort Worth through the love, power, and good news of Jesus Christ, and the restoration of the five-fold offices of Ephesians 4:11-16 to the church.
We affirm that the apostolic, prophetic, evangelistic, pastoral, and teaching offices of Ephesians 4 are Jesus' gifts to the church and are active and needed today. These offices encourage, edify, and equip the church to accomplish the assignments of Christ to bring heaven to earth and to transform nations.
We want to see the church as a whole begin to shift the thinking and practice of its governance towards this more consistent biblical model. We desire her to see the transformational evidences and global impact of this truth. When speaking of the emerging United States, Thomas Jefferson spoke about the concept of a democratic republic that had never been tried before by any nation. His words ring true in the Ephesians 4 model.
"Not to find ourselves new principles or new arguments never before thought of, but to place before mankind the common sense of the subject in terms so plain and firm as to justify ourselves in the stand we are compelled to take."
We desire to see the ancient truth of scripture become new again. To see this old way of doing church accepted, embraced, and adopted across the entire church. We want church leaders to see the "common sense of the subject" clearly and exuberantly and follow our lead to a healthy expression of the person of Jesus Christ through His leadership in the church. We are contending for this new wineskin. Join us!
